About the Role
In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever. With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 14 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding of new members
- Support new members through onboarding, co-design their EPI implementation plan, and set up appropriate project governance
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the plan
- Act as the central liaison between the EPI member and the EPI organization, ensuring timely deployment by guiding the member's project manager
- Manage all dimensions of the implementation (tech, legal, branding, marketing, product) and facilitate sessions to resolve product, rules, and technical challenges
- Lead and prepare the steerco's together with the member's project manager
- Track and report KPIs, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and provide clear, actionable reporting to stakeholders
- Contribute to the further fine-tuning of the EPI implementation approach
- Continuously refine the roll-out and onboarding process, focusing on standardization, industrialization, and sharing experience
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Science, Business Administration or a related field
- +5 years of experience in financial services or consultancy sector, ideally with exposure to banking, acquiring, or payment scheme environments
- Solid experience with project / program management and complex stakeholder management
- Being able to lead from a business perspective while demonstrating a high tech affinity
- Fluent in English and French, Dutch or German (CEFR C1 or C2); other European languages are a plus
- Able to remain effective and focused in a flexible environment where processes, regulations, and products continuously evolve
- A proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills to drive collaboration and problem-solving
- Ability to deliver high-quality work and track progress through KPIs
- Comfortable working remotely in a pan-European, multicultural environment
- You expect to manage a team immediately
- You thrive only in fully processed and guided environments

About the Company

- You will report directly to Antoine, our Head of Transversal team, who has extensive experience in project management within the payments sector, and will be part of a team of experienced implementation managers.
- In the daily interactions you will have contacts with members of EPI's product, scheme, engineering, marketing and operations teams.
