About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create essential user content in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, as well as Education, Onboarding, Enablement, and Customer Success teams, to ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and meets user needs.

Responsibilities

• Write quality documentation for any product in the suite.
• Perform peer reviews for other writers, focusing on style and concision.
• Explain complex problems and solutions clearly and concisely, even to non-technical audiences.
• Clearly communicate and defend the priority of work.
• Independently research information for writing and know when to ask for help.
• Mentor, coach, and develop more junior team members.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Plan, organize, and write for large features or new products.
• Interview technical writing candidates.
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity in approaches to work, including tools, processes, structure, style guides, and productivity.
• Research the Jira ticket system for known bugs or new features to identify and communicate potential gaps to product owners.
• Collaborate with peers in ADEPT to complete projects.
• Maintain relationships with peers in other departments for customer input and feedback on user/developer documentation.
• Prioritize own work autonomously.
• Set up and lead cross-functional meetings, including setting agendas, leading conversations, building consensus, and driving decision-making.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to follow style.
• Proficiency with writing tools.
• Completes assignments on time and with high quality.
• Demonstrated ability to write through the lens/voice of the style guide.
• Flexible and able to work on a variety of products as needed.
• Subject matter expert in their core product area.
• Strong technical acumen and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Approximately 3-7 years of technical writing experience (or fewer years with additional software development experience, or other enhancing skillset).
