About the Role
We are seeking a bilingual doctor to lead and manage medical service teams for our TRICARE program, providing comprehensive support to TRICARE beneficiaries. This role involves managing patient care, coordinating with medical facilities, and ensuring smooth operations within the TRICARE service framework.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate Near Patient Medical Team members.
- Ensure patient-first care in collaboration with US military facilities, partner hospitals, and the TRICARE Contact Centre.
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance team.
- Oversee performance improvement plans for Near Patient Team members.
- Handle escalations from nurses.
- Escalate to physicians or partner hospital physicians as needed.
- Translate medical documents when necessary.
- Communicate with the US government.
- Train new team members.
- Visit partner hospitals and US military medical facilities as required.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of practical experience after obtaining a medical license.
- Experience in acute clinical case management.
- Broad clinical/medical experience in general practice, family medicine, internal medicine, accident/emergency, aerospace medicine, anesthesiology, ICU, or tropical medicine (preferably a field capable of general management).
- Leadership and staff management skills.
- Native-level Japanese language proficiency.
- Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 865 or higher).
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel for business.
- Experience in military medical systems (preferred).
- Presentation and communication skills with specialized knowledge (preferred).
- Ability to effectively balance medical needs with a business perspective.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and client-focused.
