About the Role

Nomura’s Australian Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is looking to add a Senior Associate / Junior Vice President to the team to assist with domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years M&A experience, be naturally curious, looking to take the next step in their career, and able to leverage a positive, self-driven attitude to execute transactions and support marketing activities. Exposure to other products, including balance sheet lending, will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Able to lead or is beginning to gain exposure to leading M&A execution and management of workstreams.
  • Develop and review valuation models, pro-forma financial statements, and comparable company analysis.
  • Manage due diligence and transaction processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and own marketing materials and client presentations, and support client relationship management.
  • Conduct market and industry research.
  • Manage, mentor, and train junior members of the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of Investment Banking or other boutique advisory experience, with a focus on M&A advisory.
  • Advanced financial modelling and financial analytical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines.
  • A strong sense of personal integrity and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts.
