About the Role

A.S.P. Incorporated is seeking a Mobile Patrol Supervisor to ensure a safe and secure environment. This role involves leading a team of Security Specialists, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service within various Toronto locations, including respite, refugee, and shelter settings. Responsibilities

• Provide Security Guard Services at the City of Toronto Building, operating security systems, monitoring, and patrolling.
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, responding to routine, emergency, and security & law enforcement calls.
• Act as a client site ambassador by providing customer service, responding to public inquiries, and performing guard tours.
• Assist in the movement of visitors and staff.
• Manage and lead a team of Security Specialists.
• Maintain open communication with the client and ASP Incorporated.
• Observe, investigate, and act on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft, and utility malfunctions.
• Inform designated authorities in the event of an emergency.
• Document all security incidents in clear, concise, and accurate reports.
• Activate fire alarm and safety systems and assist in evacuation procedures.
• Escort designated authorities, police, fire, and ambulance personnel to emergency locations.
• Enforce the Trespass to Property Act, including physically removing individuals found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts.
• Perform access control, screen unauthorized persons, and physically remove individuals breaching policies.
• Legally arrest individuals if required and surrender them to the Police.
• Record and maintain a logbook of daily activities, unusual occurrences, and equipment issuance.
• Perform duties such as open-up and lock-down procedures, bomb threat searches, and security/life safety equipment inspections.
• Perform emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual.
• Receive and record complaints, conduct investigations, and prepare incident reports.
• Liaise with Shelter Management to communicate operational issues and report health and safety, fire, and life safety concerns.

Requirements

• 1 year of Canadian Police or Canadian Armed Forces experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience within the North American security industry.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a related North American security supervisory function.
• Must possess a G class Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract.
• Must be over 25 years old to qualify.
• Hands-on experience making or assisting arrests.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Licensed by the Province of Ontario as a registered Security Guard and must maintain the license.
• Smart Serve, De-Escalation, SCDT, Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes and legislation, including the Criminal Code, the Trespass to Property Act, the Fire Code and WHMIS.
