About the Role
As the world leader in serving science, Thermo Fisher Scientific's Japanese subsidiary supports cutting-edge scientific research in materials science and electronic device development. This role involves maintaining and installing advanced scientific instruments like electron microscopes, X-ray photoelectron spectrometers, and electrical failure analysis devices.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting for electron microscopes, X-ray photoelectron spectrometers, and electrical failure analysis devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Replace consumables and address software and hardware issues.
- Plan and execute the installation of electron microscopes, X-ray photoelectron spectrometers, and electrical failure analysis devices.
- Collaborate with sales teams to determine product specifications and provide on-site support for installation layout planning.
Requirements
- University, junior college, technical college, or vocational school graduate.
- Background in a science or engineering field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering.
- Willingness to learn technical English, as product manuals are in English.
- Ability to connect devices to networks and operate PCs.
- Experience in the semiconductor and semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry is a plus.
- Experience using physical science or analytical instruments is a plus.
- Previous service engineer experience is preferred.
- Experience in machine maintenance is preferred.
