About the Role

Early Media is establishing a new scripted production department and seeks a Scripted Producer to manage series end-to-end, from pre-production to delivery. This role involves owning creative, logistical, and operational elements while simultaneously building the department's infrastructure, processes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned series from kickoff through delivery, managing timelines, budgets, crew, and logistics with minimal oversight.
• Drive pre-production, including breakdowns, scheduling, budgeting, location scouting, and crew/vendor coordination.
• Manage production through principal photography, ensuring projects stay on schedule and budget while maintaining creative integrity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the creative team, Production leadership, and the broader Early Media organization.
• Collaborate with the Post Supervisor for a smooth production-to-post handoff and ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Work with the Production Coordinator to delegate logistics and maintain communication across productions.
• Help establish production workflows, templates, and standards for the scripted department.
• Identify and provide feedback on what is working and what is not across productions to inform the department playbook.
• Build repeatable systems for scheduling, budgeting, crew onboarding, and project tracking.
• Partner with Scripted Production leadership to align on process priorities and operational improvements.
• Maintain and grow relationships with writers, directors, and key crew members.
• Contribute to talent sourcing efforts by identifying emerging filmmakers, writers, and collaborators.
• Bring a creative perspective to projects, supporting directors and writers while considering the target audience (13-30 year olds).

Requirements

• 4-7 years of producing experience in scripted television, film, commercial, or high-volume digital/streaming content.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a scripted project from development through delivery across multiple formats or lengths.
• Strong budget management skills with experience holding numbers on productions.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mentality, capable of creating structure where processes do not exist.
• Collaborative working style, willing to roll up sleeves and ask for help.
• Experience managing and directing junior production staff, including coordinators and assistants.
• Experience producing across multiple simultaneous projects.
