About the Role
Commerce is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join the Go To Market (GTM) Business Applications team. This role will focus on building, maintaining, and improving the systems that support sales, marketing, and customer success, within a company actively modernizing its Salesforce environment. You will collaborate with architects, admins, business analysts, and product engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and document Salesforce solutions using a declarative-first approach, escalating to custom development when necessary.
- Write clean, testable Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and API integrations, focusing on quality, performance, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to establishing and maintaining development standards.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and adjacent systems, including marketing automation platforms and external APIs.
- Contribute to the Salesforce roadmap by presenting technical options, tradeoffs, and implementation paths.
- Support a healthy engineering culture by advocating for modern practices, sharing knowledge, and contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional Salesforce development experience.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I required; Administrator certification a plus.
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Solid understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including data models, automation, and common pitfalls.
- Comfortable with Git-based source control, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and CI/CD environments, or eager to learn.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including systematic debugging and clear communication of findings.
- Collaborative and communicative, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements.
