About the Role
As an HR Officer, you will proactively manage the entire employee lifecycle for BeCool's East Coast distribution centre and blue-collar workforce. You will act as a vital liaison between the business and external staffing agencies, ensuring smooth daily operations, attendance & compliance, and employee relations. This role offers a direct pathway into an HR Advisory path as the structure grows, perfect for a resilient, patient, and systems-savvy team player ready to make their mark in a vibrant, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive efficient workforce planning and rostering to ensure optimal staffing levels across all East Coast distribution centre operations.
- Administer accurate and timely payroll preparation through daily timesheet management and ADP reconciliation.
- Track attendance and leave information in ADP.
- Upload weekly rosters in UKG.
- Facilitate seamless recruitment and onboarding processes while managing essential visa and compliance checks.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate HR records across platforms like ADP, Workday, Vsure, and LMS to ensure data integrity.
- Provide effective employee relations support within the Fairwork framework, including the resolution of HR cases and drafting disciplinary documentation.
- Support employee learning and development initiatives by administering training modules and tracking certification records.
Requirements
- Proven experience in HR administration, office management, or workforce coordination (ideally within warehousing, logistics, or production environments).
- Advanced skills across Microsoft Office and HRIS/rostering systems such as ADP, Workday, Vsure, or Linksafe.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong communicator who can comfortably build relationships across multiple departments and seniority levels.
- Highly discreet with a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with absolute integrity.
- A proactive problem-solver who is highly adaptable to changing operational needs.
- Must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
- Requires reliable personal transport.
- Requires flexibility for a 6:00 AM start on Mondays.
