About the Role

As a Senior Analyst within Group Actuarial, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening and enhancing core actuarial data platforms, enabling better decision-making across the business. Working at the intersection of data, risk, and technology, you’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to improve systems, uplift capability, and drive continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to shape data-driven outcomes, support risk maturity, and contribute to innovative initiatives—including AI adoption—within a dynamic financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the functionality, performance, and efficiency of core actuarial data platforms
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve understanding and effective use of data systems and emerging technologies
  • Support and embed risk maturity initiatives, including operational resilience activities
  • Contribute to risk governance processes, including planning and coordination of finance risk forums
  • Deliver change initiatives by supporting system, process, and operating model transitions
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across actuarial, finance, and risk teams
  • Contribute to broader finance initiatives, including people and AI capability uplift

Requirements

  • Degree in Actuarial, Finance, Economics, Data/Technology or related discipline
  • Previous experience in financial services (insurance or finance preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise complex information
  • Experience working with data tools and platforms (e.g. SAS, Python, R, Google Data Platforms)
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks; experience with GRC tools (e.g. ServiceNow) advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing capability
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
