About the Role

Oracle is seeking an experienced lawyer to join the Financial Services Legal team as Senior Corporate Counsel. This new role will provide senior-level support to Oracle in its compliance journey by helping to design and implement frameworks, policies and processes that will enable the company to meet its obligations under applicable regulations while managing its risk. You will partner with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization and serve as a trusted advisor who can drive the changes needed to enable Oracle to achieve its compliance goals. You will also oversee and shape Oracle’s engagement and relationships with regulators and leading the company’s preparation for, coordination of and response to regulatory oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, analyzing and advising on regulatory developments
  • Responding to regulatory proposals and consultations
  • Supporting the implementation of regulatory-driven operational and policy changes
  • Advising on the regulatory implications of new services models
  • Addressing regulatory matters arising in the context of Oracle’s sales, marketing and transactional activities
  • Designing and implementing frameworks, policies and processes to meet regulatory obligations and manage risk
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Overseeing and shaping Oracle’s engagement and relationships with regulators
  • Leading the company’s preparation for, coordination of and response to regulatory oversight

Requirements

  • Practicing lawyer with 10+ years of relevant post-qualification experience gained at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
  • Experience in dealing with regulators and managing regulatory supervision
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of the technology sector
  • Excellent communication skills; diligent and attentive to detail
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and commercially minded
