About the Role
Bring stories to life through compelling, audience-first video content for Australian Women's Weekly. As Video Producer, you will shape how audiences experience the brand across digital, social, web, and branded platforms, creating content that informs, entertains, and inspires.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end video production including concept development, pre-production planning, filming, editing and final delivery
- Interpret editorial and commercial briefs and translate them into engaging video content aligned with brand guidelines
- Shoot, direct and edit video content across a range of formats including social-first, short-form, digital and branded content
- Coordinate production logistics including talent, locations, scheduling, equipment and post-production timelines
- Optimise video content for multiple platforms including social media, websites, EDMs and digital channels
- Contribute creative ideas in editorial and planning sessions, offering video-led storytelling solutions
- Collaborate closely with editors, designers, marketers and commercial teams to deliver cohesive content outcomes
- Ensure all content is delivered on time, within scope and to a high production standard
- Maintain organised asset management, file systems and version control
- Stay across emerging video trends, platform innovations and audience engagement strategies to evolve content output
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, production efficiency and content performance
- Support and guide junior creatives or freelancers where required
- Take ownership of standalone video projects or campaigns from concept to completion
Requirements
- Proven experience in video production within media, publishing, agency or content-driven environments
- Strong skills in filming, directing and editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience producing content across social, digital and branded content platforms
- Strong storytelling ability with a clear understanding of audience engagement across different channels
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working across multidisciplinary teams
- Creative thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong understanding of platform-native video formats and best practices (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
- High attention to detail and commitment to production quality
