About the Role
Oversee a portfolio of journals in the earth sciences and take project oversight of select initiatives and projects within the Energy & Earth Journals team, which delivers world-class content supporting UN sustainable development goals and a net zero future.
Responsibilities
- Balance maintaining the superior performance of a portfolio of titles with supporting goals around accelerated growth of quality content.
- Carefully manage new editor appointments and ensure journals have diverse and dynamic editorial structures.
- Engage with customers through relationship management and regular communication, sharing customer insights to inform product and service development.
- Improve the visibility of journal brands and company tools and services through effective outreach and competitive analysis.
- Champion select initiatives, following up on actions and recommendations to ensure team engagement and delivery.
- Work closely with colleagues to deliver on collaborative projects and goals.
Requirements
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
- Minimum education to bachelor's degree level.
- Work experience of 2-3 years in a publishing role or in academic research is desirable.
- Pro-active, good negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Able to work efficiently and productively with colleagues and customers at various levels, in various locations, and from diverse cultures.
- Be a role model for others.
- Have a can-do attitude and team-oriented approach.
