About the Role
Karbon is seeking a Mid-Level, Fullstack Software Engineer to join their expanding organization. In this role, you will be working within an agile development team to design and build interactive web applications, focusing on the API and Integrations team with a lean towards Front-end.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product features, developing new functionality and iteratively improving existing systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Balance speed and quality by making thoughtful trade-offs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Use data to inform decisions by learning from user behavior, experimenting thoughtfully, and improving acquisition and conversion.
- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating closely with engineers and QA throughout the development cycle.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to move faster, such as drafting code, exploring solutions, or writing tests, while applying good judgment.
- Work with autonomy by taking ownership of problems, exploring solutions, and asking questions when needed.
- Own your work, taking pride in what you build and feeling accountable for its impact on customers and the business.
- Contribute curiosity, creativity, and personality to an open and collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Solid frontend skills with experience using Javascript/Typescript and frameworks such as React.js, Angular.js, Vue.js, Ember.js or equivalent.
- Comfortable working across the full stack and building rich, interactive user interfaces.
- Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience building web applications using C#, .NET (MVC, Web API, .NET Core a plus).
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and how data flows through distributed systems, including designing and consuming web APIs.
- Familiarity with SQL Server or relational databases, and an understanding of how data flows through an application.
- A growing understanding of software fundamentals like scalable systems, APIs, and basic data structures.
- Familiarity with the Azure Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills; enjoy figuring things out and learning as you go.
- A sense of ownership and pride in your work, balanced with a willingness to ask questions and accept feedback.
- An interest in building customer-facing software and thinking about how real people use what you build.
- Comfortable working with others; sharing ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and learning together.
