About the Role

LeadCar GMC Utica is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to advance your career within a company with a strong legacy and reputation for quality.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Company and factory standards.
  • Works hands-on with vehicles, including changing oil and filters, adding fluids, checking tire pressures, and inspecting for other necessary work.
  • Reads and accurately completes Multipoint Inspection forms.
  • Works closely as a team with constant communication.
  • Speaks with customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or requested by the customer.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Attends shop meetings as requested.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Documents work performed on repair order and documents test procedures/results.
  • Ensures customers' cars are kept clean and notifies service advisor immediately of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanic tools.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all Company-owned tools and manuals, returning them to their proper place and condition.
  • Acquires and maintains manufacturer and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications by completing necessary training.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the Company, its personnel, or customers.
  • Maintains personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be thorough and take pride in your work.
  • A valid driver’s license must be maintained.

Skills

  • Automotive experience or equivalent education preferred.
