About the Role
Airtable is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager to reimagine procurement operations for the AI era. This role involves automating processes, deploying AI agents, and improving modern procurement standards. The ideal candidate will have strong operating instincts, curiosity, and adaptability to manage a high-velocity procurement function and potentially expand into broader Finance and Business Operations.
Responsibilities
- Own and elevate day-to-day procurement operations.
- Manage vendor onboarding, intake triage, PO creation, and urgent approval coordination.
- Oversee the procure-to-pay cycle, collaborating with Accounts Payable on vendor data and PO accuracy.
- Design and scale fast-buy processes like P-card programs and catalogs.
- Lead contract redlining for SOWs and Order Forms, partnering with Legal.
- Re-architect procurement using AI agents and automation to replace manual work.
- Design multi-step workflows delegating tasks to AI.
- Verify AI output rigorously, anticipating failure modes and building in checks.
- Build reusable tools, templates, and playbooks to improve quality across the company.
- Undertake cross-functional Finance Operations projects as priorities shift.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, finance operations, business operations, program management, or an equivalent function.
- Procurement experience is a plus; strong cross-functional operator who learns complex domains quickly is also valued.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and biased toward action.
- Genuine curiosity for unfamiliar problems.
- Ability to build trust quickly and deliver results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
- Experience directing AI tools to produce higher-quality work.
- Proven track record of building reusable tools, templates, or workflows adopted by others.
- Experience with procurement, financial, and legal systems (e.g., Zip, Coupa, Workday, Ironclad CLM) or ability to learn new tooling quickly.
- Excited about the potential to grow into broader Finance or Business Operations work.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

- $170,700—$211,200 USD (San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles)
- $153,300—$189,500 USD (All other work locations, including remote)
