About the Role
Louis Ptak Construction is seeking experienced Journeyman Carpenters for their Subcontracting team with job sites in the Bay Area. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about building high-end custom homes within a respected, dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality carpentry installations, including framing, millwork, doors, windows, siding, cabinets, and stairs.
- Comprehend and interpret construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, sketches, RFIs, and Submittals.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work aligns with company quality standards and project deadlines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site carpentry issues.
- Mentor and develop junior carpenters and apprentices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of finish carpentry experience.
- 5+ years of high-end residential experience (must be able to provide 3 references).
- Have a full complement of tools, including specialty tools for division 6.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Shows a strong work ethic.
