About the Role
Farther's Finance team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, turning data into decisions that shape how we grow. As our FP&A Manager, you will own the financial planning engine: budgets, forecasts, models, and the stories that tie them together. You will be a go-to partner for senior leadership, translating complex financials into clear, actionable insight and helping us make smarter bets as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts, coordinating inputs across every function in the business
- Build and own monthly management reporting packages — variance analysis, clear narratives, drivers vs. plan
- Develop dynamic financial models for long-range planning, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations
- Partner directly with business leaders to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support data-driven decisions
- Track KPIs and operating metrics, surfacing risks and opportunities to leadership before they become problems
- Own and continuously improve our financial planning infrastructure — tools, templates, and processes
- Support board and investor reporting, including prep materials and ad hoc analysis
- Collaborate with Accounting on the close process so actuals flow cleanly into reporting and forecast models
Requirements
- 5+ years in FP&A or a related finance role (investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance all count)
- Ability to build a three-statement model and a complex operating model from scratch
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with financial planning tools like Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar
- Ability to turn a mountain of data into an exec-ready output without losing the story
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where priorities shift and you adapt quickly
- Strong communicator — ability to walk a non-finance audience through a complicated financial picture and make it land
- Background at a high-growth startup or financial services company is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Datarails for financial planning and reporting is a plus
- Familiarity with NetSuite or a comparable ERP is a plus
- CPA, CFA, or MBA are appreciated but not a requirement
