About the Role

DigitalOcean is seeking a Principal Product Manager to define and lead the product strategy for a new generation of managed agent infrastructure products. This role will shape services like Open Harness Server, Code Execution Sandbox, and Action Gateway, enabling developers to build, scale, and operate AI agents in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and execution plan for managed agent infrastructure.
  • Lead product definition for services including Open Harness Server, Code Execution Sandbox, and Action Gateway.
  • Partner with agent-native companies to understand infrastructure requirements for moving from prototype to production.
  • Create simple abstractions for complex workloads like long-lived agents, session management, and secure code execution.
  • Shape developer experience through intuitive APIs, CLIs, documentation, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering on architecture and tradeoffs regarding MicroVMs, sandboxing, identity, and observability.
  • Partner with GTM, finance, and engineering to define packaging, pricing, and launch plans.
  • Establish and track product metrics including adoption, retention, reliability, and revenue growth.
  • Evangelize the category by explaining the need for a new infrastructure layer for AI agents.

Requirements

  • Strong product leadership experience in infrastructure, developer platforms, or ML platforms.
  • Fluency in agentic AI systems, including tool usage, code execution, and long-running sessions.
  • Technical depth in cloud primitives such as containers, MicroVMs, sandboxing, and distributed systems.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous customer feedback into clear product direction and roadmap priorities.
  • Strong systems thinking across user experience, architecture, security, and operational complexity.
  • Deep developer empathy with a focus on simple APIs and fast onboarding.
  • Proven business judgment connecting product investments to revenue and long-term strategy.
  • Executive communication and influence skills across cross-functional stakeholders.
