About the Role

Zip is seeking a Solutions Architect to build the technical foundation for its ERP and integration ecosystem. This role focuses on internal technical enablement, architecting solutions for complex customer environments, collaborating with Product teams, and establishing best-in-class standards for integration workflows, with a specialization in the Workday Financials ecosystem. The architect will create reusable integration assets and define standards for how the Zip product interacts with external systems.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and iterate on Zip-owned ERP and integration templates that power scalable, repeatable customer implementations.
Architect and standardize Workday integrations, ensuring scalable, repeatable, and robust customer implementations.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) to align integration templates with core product architecture, field insights, and customer needs.
Analyze complex customer implementations to identify reusable patterns and convert bespoke solutions into standardized internal assets.
Partner with account teams during pre-sales to design and vet integration architectures for prospective customers.
Define, document, and champion technical solution consulting best practices to improve consistency across all implementations.
Build expertise across multiple ERP ecosystems, becoming a subject matter expert on integration architecture, data models, and Zip's App Studio.
Design and execute technical solutions with an engineering mindset for permanent scalability, including API configurations and template modifications.

Requirements

6+ years of hands-on experience delivering integrations with Workday Financials.
Strong foundational knowledge of core Workday Financials business processes, data models, and the Foundation Data Model (FDM) layout, specifically within Core Financials, Procurement, and Supplier Accounts.
Familiarity with standard Workday integration methods and tools (Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Web Services (WWS), RaaS).
Experience working with XML / REST based endpoints and standard authentication protocols.
Past ERP implementation, integration, configuration, or administration experience.
Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying technical knowledge.
Comfortable working with API documentation.
Comfortable testing and troubleshooting integration errors.
Able to understand customer requirements and document information quickly with little oversight.
A continual learner open to new technologies.
Strong communication skills.
Extreme attention to detail and proactive approach.
Experience working with product and engineering teams.
Process-driven with a bias toward continuous improvement.
