About the Role

The National Account Manager – Direct Channels plays a critical role in delivering Dyson’s direct-to-consumer strategy across Dyson.com, marketplaces, and retail stores. This role is responsible for driving both commercial performance and operational execution, ensuring sustainable sales growth and an exceptional consumer experience. The position focuses on managing key indirect and direct retail channels, developing trade plans, and leading commercial negotiations. It also contributes to identifying and acquiring new business opportunities to expand Dyson’s reach. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working cross-functionally to optimize performance through data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial and operational activities for key retail and marketplace accounts
  • Develop and execute trade plans, including promotional strategy, pricing, and assortment planning
  • Drive sales growth, profitability, and repeat business across channels
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire new accounts and expand distribution
  • Lead negotiations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development and execution of the Beauty category across all Direct channels
  • Build and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, profit, and inventory plans
  • Forecast daily, weekly, and monthly performance and track against targets
  • Develop detailed execution plans including product launches, promotional calendars, and volume forecasts
  • Support key trading events (e.g., BFCM, Dyson Days, Owner Rewards)
  • Analyze business performance and recommend actions to drive growth and mitigate risks
  • Monitor trends, demand signals, and inventory levels to optimize outcomes
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Use data and analytical thinking to solve complex commercial challenges
  • Partner with Ecommerce, Retail, CRM, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and Media teams
  • Collaborate to drive traffic, conversion, and ROI (including ROAS improvements)
  • Support development of exclusive assortments and product strategies
  • Ensure alignment between commercial plans and operational execution
  • Support core business processes including Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and forecasting cycles
  • Prepare performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Ensure seamless coordination across supply chain, logistics, and customer service functions
  • Maintain operational excellence across all day-to-day activities
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Act as a voice of the customer, providing insights into channel and consumer dynamics
  • Influence without authority, coordinating activities across teams where needed
  • Support training, knowledge-sharing, and best practice adoption

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, retail, or national account management
  • Experience in commercial management, trade marketing, category management, or sales operations
  • Proven ability to deliver against sales and financial targets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong presence with the ability to influence and resolve conflicts collaboratively
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint and business tools

Salary/Compensations

  • $140,800 - $186,500 annually + bonus opportunity
