About the Role

Checkr is seeking a strategic and driven Commercial Account Executive to focus on new logo prospecting within the Commercial segment (500-5K employee size). This role involves managing large competitive sales cycles, partnering with internal resources, and inspiring prospects with Checkr's technology-first approach to background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business sales within the Commercial segment.
  • Act as a consultative trusted advisor by building in-depth customer relationships and understanding business goals.
  • Collaborate with client's Human Resource leadership, Program Managers, Engineering, and Product teams to establish and deliver a shared product roadmap.
  • Drive sales at new accounts, hunt for, and prospect into new logos.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Sales, Support, and executives) to achieve client goals and act as the voice of the client.
  • Communicate Checkr offerings in relation to customer needs and engage other Checkr resources as required.
  • Exhibit business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to consult on and align with global strategy.
  • Communicate the benefits of new features and enhancements by maintaining deep and up-to-date knowledge of the product portfolio.
  • Assist clients and champions in communicating the value of Checkr to their internal stakeholders.
  • Build account plans for named accounts that align with Checkr’s strategy, identifying key decision makers, regional approaches, buying processes, current investment, product utilization, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders within the client organization and understand the entire buying committee.
  • Negotiate and close all orders with Checkr’s strategy in mind and provide post-contract support.
  • Represent market trends and client needs to Executive and Product teams to ensure current needs are met and products evolve for future client needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive funnel analytics, identifying gaps, areas for improvement, and optimizations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of B2B SaaS or consumption-based tech sales experience.
  • Willingness and ability to initiate conversations with target accounts.
  • Experience closing new business accounts with large global/multinational customers with complex organizational structures.
  • Experience selling to EVPs, CXOs, and end-users within the same sales cycle, in both individual and team sales environments.
  • Proven success in selling innovative and disruptive technology.
  • Proven experience in a quota-exceeding sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and execute a plan for deep penetration into global accounts.
  • Proven track record of selling software or technology at C-level.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box for complex situations.
  • Ability to navigate large organizations' political landscape to maintain and expand relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Demonstrable track record of quota-carrying software or technology sales, new logo hunting, account management, and team leadership experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Enjoy planning, adjusting, executing, winning, and celebrating as a team.

Salary/Compensations

  • $164,475—$193,500 USD (On-target Earnings OR Base Salary range for San Francisco, CA)
