About the Role

Research, design, develop and test robotic and machine learning applications for an AV company, contributing to the complete machine learning cycle and formulating problem statements specific to autonomous operations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the complete machine learning cycle: data collection, labeling, processing, algorithm design, model training, and evaluation.
  • Formulate problem statements specific to autonomous operations and design innovative solutions to address them.
  • Design novel machine learning models and algorithms, including new deep learning architectures, loss functions, and training protocols.
  • Utilize advanced machine learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks and Generative AI to enhance object detection and perception.
  • Work on improving perception properties of detected objects, such as their kinematics, intent, and short-term trajectory predictions.
  • Develop and implement novel solutions to integrate multiple sensors (e.g., Camera, RADAR, LiDAR) and other contextual information like High Definition Maps and temporal streams of data.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of autonomous vehicles.
  • Provide support on debugging real-time issues on the ride-hail fleet that are due to perception related problems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist or a related occupation.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Radar Perception using AI (artificial intelligence).
  • Background, education, or experience must include Monocular 3D object detection.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Autonomous Vehicle Sensor Fusion.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Data Structures and Python, C++, and ROS programming.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Machine Learning Model Optimization.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Developing Auto-Labeling Techniques.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Large-Scale Data Generation and Analytics.
  • Background, education, or experience must include Experience with Utilizing Advanced Mathematical Concepts to develop and refine Machine Learning Models.
