About the Role

Polishers are responsible for ensuring that each piece of glassware and flatware is inspected for flaws and polished to a shine before re-entering service. Polishers work with all members of the Back of House and Front of House Service team to ensure a smooth continuation of service.

Responsibilities

• Polish and prepare glassware, silverware, and utensils for service
• Inspect items to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards
• Handle items carefully to avoid breakage
• Stock dining room service stations with glassware, silverware, and utensils
• Maintain a clean and organized polishing station
• Support kitchen and service staff as needed during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
• Ability to speak, understand, and follow verbal instructions in English
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards in a food service setting
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible schedule based on the needs of Sartianos, their programming, and peak times
• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell
• Frequently required to walk
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
