About the Role
The Account Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and execution of integrated marketing campaigns. This role requires strong client relationship management, problem-solving, and operational expertise with meticulous attention to detail. You will be a primary point of contact, cultivating client partnerships and ensuring seamless project delivery against demanding timelines, while fostering collaboration and leveraging the WPP Open ecosystem for innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, managing requests and proactively delivering project updates.
- Maintain and grow positive client relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and strategic communication.
- Own the tracking of client feedback, questions, and approvals, ensuring proactive follow-up and momentum.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively flag issues, risks, or organic growth opportunities to the senior account team.
- Lead the day-to-day management and execution of integrated marketing projects across paid and owned channels.
- Develop and oversee project timelines, workback schedules, and task trackers to ensure flawless execution.
- Own the workflow process, ensuring creative deliverables are organized, thoroughly reviewed, and moved through internal systems efficiently.
- Manage the trafficking of assets, files, and materials, coordinating seamlessly across internal teams, and external partners.
- Ensure all campaign documentation—including status reports, contact reports, and meeting notes—is accurate, current, and professional.
- Collaborate directly with strategy, creative, and media teams to drive integrated campaign planning and delivery.
- Contribute to and help shape creative briefs, comms matrices, and other strategic campaign documents.
- Translate complex client requests and project briefs into organized, actionable deliverables for creative teams.
- Advocate for great creative work while balancing client business objectives.
- Build collaborative relationships with creative teams, supporting and championing strong ideas while keeping them aligned to the brief.
- Guide internal and client feedback processes, learning how to synthesize and deliver feedback to creative teams in a clear, constructive, and strategic way.
- Lead internal reviews and status sessions, providing helpful client and business perspective to help refine the work.
- Build a strong understanding of what makes creative work effective across different channels to help support campaign objectives.
- Maintain highly efficient account workflows, driving strong internal organization and process adherence.
- Actively guide and mentor junior team members, helping to review their work and build their skillsets.
- Constantly identify ways to improve operational efficiency and reduce missed steps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to leverage the full capabilities of WPP Open, integrating the ecosystem into project workflows to drive efficiency.
- Work closely with all skill sets within the team to support a dynamic, agile, and tech-forward environment.
- Be proactive in mastering and championing new tools and technologies.
- Manage budget tracking, billing administration, and financial health under the direction of senior team members.
- Maintain accurate records of client estimates, spend, and invoice-related information.
- Monitor hours and project scopes, flagging any budget discrepancies or risks to the Account Director in a timely manner.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in advertising account management, client services, project management, or a related role within an advertising or creative agency.
- Proven experience successfully running multi-channel campaigns and managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive "problem-solver" mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently present ideas and manage client expectations.
- Unflappable, positive attitude with the ability to navigate difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Interest in advertising, client service, and growing a long-term career in account leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Familiarity with agency systems and technologies, including AI, is a strong asset.
