About the Role
Nova Scotia Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners from all backgrounds and skill levels to join our growing organization. You will practice autonomously and collaborate as appropriate with professionals and teams in mutual support. Nurse Practitioners are a vital resource in our healthcare system.
Responsibilities
- Practice autonomously and collaborate as appropriate with professionals and teams in mutual support.
- Diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures within the legislated scope of practice and where required.
- Provide direct care and partner with other members of the health care team.
- Work in close collaboration with Physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adhere to the NSCN Standards for Nursing Practice and the Code of Ethics.
- Be responsible and accountable at all times for own practice consistent with relevant legislation, and professional, and ethical standards.
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate activities that are reflective of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Must be a Nurse Practitioner.
- Must qualify for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness program to receive up to $30,000 in forgiveness over a maximum of five years.
