About the Role
The Cleaner will perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, adhering to established standards and procedures. Must be available to work Holidays.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces.
- Operate light and heavy commercial floor machines, including buffers and shampoo machines.
- Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
- Perform spot cleaning and shampooing of rugs as directed.
- Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
- Wash windowsills, interior glass doors, partitions, and specified windows.
- Wash interior and exterior entrance doors glass and trim.
- Wash and spot clean interior walls as needed.
- Clean bathrooms daily, restocking supplies and performing standard bathroom cleaning procedures.
- Monitor for and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.
- Collect building trash daily and place it in approved containers in the designated collection area.
- Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
- Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks as directed.
- Perform periodic tasks including high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
- Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
- Ability to use a portable backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
- Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
