About the Role
DigitalOcean is building infrastructure for the agentic future, a pivotal moment where agents will change how software is built, deployed, operated, and scaled. We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to define and own the product strategy for a new generation of managed agent infrastructure products, shaping services that simplify agent execution in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Define the Agentic AI infrastructure product strategy, owning the product vision, roadmap, and execution plan.
- Lead product definition for foundational agent infrastructure products like Open Harness Server, Code Execution Sandbox, and Action Gateway.
- Partner with agent-native customers to understand their infrastructure needs for moving from prototype to production.
- Define product experiences that simplify complex agent workloads for developers.
- Build intuitive APIs, CLIs, docs, examples, and workflows to facilitate developer adoption.
- Collaborate with engineering on architecture and tradeoffs for MicroVMs, sandboxing, identity, state management, and more.
- Partner with GTM, finance, and engineering to define packaging, pricing, and launch plans for new products.
- Establish product metrics for adoption, retention, usage, reliability, and revenue growth.
- Evangelize the agentic AI infrastructure category and DigitalOcean's role in it.
Requirements
- Strong product leadership in infrastructure or developer platforms.
- Experience building cloud infrastructure, developer tools, ML platforms, runtime systems, workflow engines, security products, or API-first platforms.
- Fluency in agentic AI systems, including tool usage, code execution, and session management.
- Technical depth in cloud primitives such as containers, MicroVMs, sandboxing, and distributed systems.
- Customer-backed product instincts with the ability to translate ambiguous feedback into clear product direction.
- Strong systems thinking across user experience, architecture, security, and operations.
- Developer empathy, understanding the need for simple APIs, clear mental models, and trustworthy documentation.
- Business judgment to connect product investments to revenue, adoption, and long-term strategy.
- Executive communication and influence skills to align stakeholders.
- Category-building mindset for operating in an emerging market.
