About the Role
A young entrepreneurial family is seeking an exceptional, long-term French-speaking Nanny to provide consistent, nurturing, and developmentally-focused care for their newborn and growing child. This role primarily based in Toronto, with significant time spent in Dubai, offers balanced hours and a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive care for a newborn and later infant/toddler.
- Establish healthy routines (feeding, sleep, developmental milestones).
- Plan age-appropriate, structured activities to support early learning.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Encourage independence, curiosity, confidence, and joy in learning.
- Support the child’s French language exposure.
- Travel with the family between Toronto, Europe, and Dubai.
- Maintain child-related organization (nursery, clothing, toys, supplies).
Requirements
- Native French speaker (mandatory).
- Minimum 10 years of professional nanny/childcare experience.
- Experience with newborns and infants.
- Canadian passport preferred, or existing right to live/work in Canada.
- Full passport enabling international travel.
- Willingness to spend October–April in Dubai (visa sponsored).
- Must live within a reasonable commute to central Toronto.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication.
- Fluent French speaking.
- Right to work in Canada.
- Baby experience considerable.
- Up-to-date criminal background check.
- Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Valid passport for international travel.
- Good references for recent nanny roles.
- Be available long term.
- Discreet and professional.
- Excellent references will need to be checked.
- Strictly non-smoking position.
