About the Role
As a Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across the hospital campus, ensuring a seamless and customer-sensitive experience while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas
- Verify patient identification and requisition prior to transport
- Greet and assist in transferring patients
- Observe patient condition during transport and report issues to appropriate personnel
- Maintain cleanliness of carts, stretchers, wheelchairs, and other equipment
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper working order and report malfunctions
- Assist staff in the movement of patients from stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds
- Comply with all hospital, department, and unit policies
- Document activities and maintain accurate logs of patient transport
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification upon hire
