About the Role

Rehab Without Walls is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for a PRN/Flexible role in Austin, TX. This position offers a flexible schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to provide in-person, 1:1 therapy with remote documentation. You will empower patients and their families through personalized nutrition education, making a significant impact on their long-term health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nutritional services in compliance with state practice acts and professional standards.
• Assesses and evaluates patients' nutritional status, determining dietary needs and advising physicians and nursing personnel.
• Confers with physicians to establish dietary treatments and calculates therapeutic diets.
• Educates patients and family members on dietary modifications, restrictions, and drug/nutrient interactions.
• Monitors patients' responses to dietary treatment and revises nutritional plans as needed.
• Ensures the confidentiality of patient files and documentation.
• Maintains and enhances clinical practice skills through continuing education.
• Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities.
• Maintains professional conduct regarding confidential information.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy programs and Business Ethics and Compliance programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months related experience generally required.

Skills

• Evaluating and providing personalized nutrition support to patients with neurological injuries (TBI/CVA).
• Personalized nutrition education.
• Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
