About the Role
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating food and beverage arrangements for group meetings and special events, supporting building operations, culinary and catering departments, and the sales team. This role will book and detail events, network for new sales opportunities, and conduct marketing efforts to drive sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Greet and provide service to all clients/groups to ensure satisfaction.
- Follow up with all clients through phone calls, letters, and site tours to secure contracts and ensure customer happiness.
- Input data to generate contracts, update client files, and enter information into sales software.
- Participates in special projects as needed.
- Proactively soliciting and managing group/catering related opportunities with significant revenue potential.
- Creates Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to review with clients.
- Partners with the culinary team to create customized menus to fit client’s needs increase food & beverage revenues.
- During the event, will ensure the meeting arrangements are to the event planner’s specifications.
- Communicates and collaborates with other departments to provide quality services for all groups.
- Attend weekly meetings for aging/billing, business review, and sales meetings.
- Follows Aramark policies and procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in Catering Sales or related field.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain composure, and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
