About the Role

The Product Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of software product implementations, including the development and implementation of project plans designed to satisfy specifications and expectations regarding software services and products. This role ensures product quality through test plans and manages the development of product documentation and client support.

Responsibilities

  • Project management for implementation projects, including planning, execution, staff supervision, support, and follow-up on client issues.
  • Develop system acceptance testing criteria and document test results.
  • Ensure the development of standards, policies, and procedures for software service and product delivery.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and provide input for project prioritization, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Communicate project status and customer concerns to senior management and Client Support.
  • Review and resolve quality control problems related to software production.
  • Approve the implementation or shipment of software products based on compliance with company standards.
  • Develop or review standards, policies, and procedures for service and product delivery.
  • Develop, or coordinate the development of, all levels of system documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to company management, clients, and user groups.
  • Interact directly with senior management and development project leaders in Houston and India.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent in a business-related field from an accredited university or equivalent industry experience.
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Typically requires at least 8 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in Systems Development environment with project management responsibility.
  • Clarity and conciseness in oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrated capability to produce effective presentations for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.

Skills

  • Agile Development training or related experience is a plus.

  • 8 years of experience

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Master's degree preferred
