About the Role

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team in Melville, NY. This role involves significant fieldwork (75%-95%) and supports environmental assessment and remediation projects, particularly in emerging contaminants. Candidates graduating in May 2026 are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Execute environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
  • Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation.
  • Perform groundwater sampling.
  • Provide subcontractor oversight.
  • Manage operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
  • Conduct vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys.
  • Ensure fieldwork is conducted with a focus on health and safety.
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors.
  • Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
  • Conduct field work including soil, groundwater, and/or vapor sampling.
  • Perform regional business travel for fieldwork up to 1-2 days per week on average.
  • Travel within the U.S. for up to two weeks at a time, a few times per year.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports during limited office work.

Salary/Compensations
