About the Role
The Engineering Supervisor directly supports the Director of Engineering, Assistant Director of Engineering, and Engineering Manager. This role ensures colleagues are responded to in a friendly, helpful, and fair manner, contributing to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative tasks, including payroll, scheduling, contractor bids, and other assignments from engineering leadership.
- Monitor, document, and manage service requests to ensure timely completion and guest satisfaction.
- Assist the Engineering Manager with daily briefings and departmental meetings.
- Track, document, and report on projects, preventive maintenance programs, and work orders.
- Coordinate purchasing requests and maintain adequate inventory levels for parts, tools, and supplies.
- Convey information and ideas clearly to the team.
- Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Effectively handle workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them.
- Listen, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera, Birchstreet, and Dayforce.
- Must have excellent oral, written, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to make decisions with a high level of common sense.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
