About the Role

We are seeking a founding Product Design Lead to build and scale Maven’s direct-to-consumer healthcare experiences. This player-coach role involves leading a team of designers and owning high-priority product design work, focusing on consumer growth, healthcare access, product craft, AI-native workflows, and trust-sensitive design. You will report to the General Manager, Consumer and collaborate with cross-functional teams to compete in the consumer healthcare market while emphasizing connected, clinically responsible, whole-person care.

Responsibilities

  • Define new journeys, shape concepts, prototype, and bring new consumer healthcare offerings to market.
  • Improve existing funnels, onboarding, eligibility, pricing, payment, prescription, activation, retention, and cross-sell experiences through research, experimentation, data, and design craft.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product design experience, including complex consumer product journeys and 0→1 product growth.
  • Experience formally managing or leading design teams.
  • Strong hands-on product design craft across UX, prototyping, visual design, mobile apps, and responsive web.
  • A portfolio showing D2C product design leadership, systems thinking, data-driven decision-making, high-quality execution, and measurable product impact.
  • Experience designing products where trust, comprehension, eligibility, pricing, access, personal data, or complex decision-making play a central role.
  • Experience with growth, onboarding, conversion, activation, retention, cross-sell, monetization, or lifecycle journeys, informed by research, data and experimentation.
  • A strong AI-native workflow and informed opinions on how AI can improve design quality, team capacity, and business value.
