About the Role
Perk is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Systems to be the internal expert and accountable owner of its finance technology ecosystem, with NetSuite at its core. This high-impact role involves partnering closely with Accounting, Strategic Finance, and Engineering to optimize system operations, integration, and scalability, making finance run better.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary system administrator and functional lead for NetSuite ERP.
- Manage NetSuite configuration, customization (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SavedSearches), and release management.
- Own the NetSuite integration landscape, including connections to upstream and downstream systems.
- Drive the AR/AP, GL, and close-process optimization agenda within NetSuite.
- Lead system remediation initiatives (e.g., unapplied cash cleanup, open document resolution).
- Manage and optimize the broader finance tech stack, including evaluating new AI tools.
- Own the systems roadmap, evaluating new tooling, leading vendor negotiations, and retiring legacy processes.
- Drive system integration projects end-to-end, partnering with Engineering where required.
- Own IT general controls across finance systems as part of the SOX program.
- Manage user access reviews, segregation of duties, and provisioning/deprovisioning workflows.
- Act as the primary liaison for auditor (Deloitte) and advisory (PwC) queries on systems and data.
- Maintain SOC report inventory and annual review process for all finance system vendors.
- Lead systems implementation and upgrade projects from scoping through go-live.
- Identify and execute automation opportunities that reduce manual effort in the close cycle.
- Build and maintain systems documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and runbooks.
- Partner with Accounting and FP&A to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of finance systems experience, with at least 4 years as a NetSuite administrator or functional lead.
- Demonstrable hands-on NetSuite configuration experience: workflows, custom records, SuiteScript, saved searches, and reporting.
- Track record of owning cross-system integration projects from requirements through delivery.
- Solid understanding of core accounting processes (close cycle, AR/AP, consolidation).
- Experience supporting SOX IT general controls or equivalent audit-facing compliance work.
- Strong project management instincts: able to run multiple workstreams, communicate status clearly, and flag blockers early.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited hand-holding.
- Must be comfortable in a configuration screen and a CFO meeting.
- Must be energized by fixing broken processes, not just maintaining working ones.
- Must communicate technical issues in plain language.
- Must have strong ownership instincts.
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to set own priorities.
- Must thrive in scale-up environments where the roadmap is built as you go.
- Must be curious and intentional about AI, with good judgment on its application.
- Must be based within commuting distance of our hubs.
