About the Role

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager to lead from the floor, energize a team, and deliver results. This role is responsible for balancing operations, team development, and customer experience, driving sales, and creating a positive, fun, and high-performing culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead with presence, acting as the face, voice, and pace of the store.
• Grow a team through coaching, feedback, and celebration.
• Manage store operations, including freight flow, zone presentation, and priorities.
• Manage labor effectively to align with business needs and budget.
• Drive sales by modeling selling behaviors and guiding the team.
• Create a positive, fun, and high-performing store culture.
• Adapt to fast-paced changes and pivot when necessary.
• Demonstrate integrity and accountability for outcomes.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering results.
• Experience managing a store or large department (retail experience preferred).
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
• Frequently operate computer and printer.
• Occasionally operate cash register.
• Occasionally ascend/descend ladders for stock retrieval and put-away.
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop.
• Ability to identify and discern instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers and coworkers.
• Frequently move across the sales floor directing associates and assisting customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs and place/move merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet.
• Ability to operate equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and handheld devices.
• Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
