About the Role
This role will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and fellow employees at Silo Ridge Field Club, located in Amenia, New York. The position is seasonal, running from June to November 2026.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the appearance of the fitness center and tennis/pickleball court area, including stocking and re-stocking items.
- Maintain the bulletin board with workout suggestions and upcoming fitness events.
- Be familiar with machine functionality and answer member inquiries.
- Maintain the appearance of tennis and pickleball courts, including brushing HarTru courts and stocking coolers.
- Participate in activities with members as requested, prioritizing safety and enjoyment.
- Comply with federal and state safety requirements and company motor vehicle policy when driving company vehicles.
- Safely transport members to and from activities in a golf cart.
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns immediately.
- Complete daily set-up/breakdown of department activities per SOP.
- Assist with inventory counts as requested.
- Stay current on all offered activities and equipment related to recreational activities.
- Demonstrate or train others on safe and effective usage of fitness and racquet sport activities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Outdoor Pursuits to create and innovate amenities and experiences.
- Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge of indoor and outdoor recreational activities and sports/fitness programs.
- 5+ years of racquet sports play.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience.
- AED, First Aid, and CPR certified.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing/walking for extended periods, and lifting/carrying items over fifty pounds.
