About the Role
As a Customer Marketing Manager, you will build a customer advocacy engine that transforms customer outcomes into references, referrals, reviews, stories, and advisory engagement. This role is part of the Product Marketing team and focuses on creating scalable systems to make customer proof a strategic advantage for go-to-market motions.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale a customer advocacy program across segments, products, and use cases.
- Develop systems for recruiting, activating, tracking, and retaining advocates.
- Manage a pipeline of customer proof assets including references, referrals, testimonials, and case studies.
- Partner with Customer Success to identify stakeholders and manage approval workflows.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to align customer proof with company narratives and launches.
- Oversee review generation and reputation programs on priority platforms.
- Lead strategy and program management for the Customer Advisory Board.
- Create scalable workflows, documentation, and governance for cross-functional engagement.
- Define and report on key metrics including advocate activation, reference fulfillment, and commercial impact.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in customer marketing, advocacy, product marketing, or B2B SaaS.
- Hands-on experience with advocacy programs, reference programs, or customer stories.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to turn outcomes into credible market proof.
- Operational discipline with experience managing multiple workstreams.
- Comfort navigating customer relationships and approval processes.
- Metrics-driven mindset with the ability to connect activity to business value.
- Familiarity with GTM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo.
- Experience in vertical SaaS, construction tech, or field service is preferred.
- Experience supporting product launches is a plus.
