About the Role
We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to transition our dexterous hand from a 3D-printed prototype to an industrial product capable of long-term operation in factory settings.
Responsibilities
- Own complete electro-mechanical systems from concept to volume production.
- Design ultra-compact actuation systems for robot fingers, including motors, transmissions, sensors, and structural components.
- Develop testing infrastructure to quantify performance, reliability, and wear over thousands of operating hours.
- Build supply chain relationships, including evaluating and selecting manufacturing partners, managing RFQs, pilot production runs, and quality control.
Requirements
- Experience in taking electro-mechanical systems from concept to volume production.
- Experience designing ultra-compact actuation systems.
- Experience developing testing infrastructure for performance and reliability quantification.
- Experience building supply chain relationships, including partner selection, RFQ management, pilot production, and quality control.
