About the Role
As an Intern for Gensler's Austin office, you will join our creative studio environment for a full-time, paid internship opportunity from July 7th to August 7th, 2026. You must be available for the entire duration of the program.
Responsibilities
- Work on architecture projects as a fully collaborative member of a design team.
- Participate in design charrettes and learning sessions focused on delivering a successful project for our clients.
- Experience educational sessions and mentorship opportunities including lectures, project tours, and vendor visits.
- Participate in a real-world group project.
- Enjoy the rich culture of our firm and the broader office community through events and learning opportunities focused on supporting professional licensure efforts.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Completed second year of undergraduate studies and will be continuing third year in the fall.
- Experience using Revit or Rhino; BIM modeling software a plus.
- 3-D computer rendering skills (Enscape, V-ray, Sketch Up, 3-D Max, and/or other modeling software).
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook and Bluebeam.
- Hand sketching and physical modelling ability a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in school and/or community.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, enthusiastic team player.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
