About the Role

As our new Product Designer, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life through research, prototyping, and high-fidelity design. You will play a key role in crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences that align with business goals while advocating for user needs. From wireframing and interaction design to usability testing and iterative improvements, you will help create seamless digital experiences that delight our users and drive business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, owning the full product design lifecycle from concept to execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align design goals with business objectives.
  • Shape the product roadmap, anticipating design needs, and ensuring user insights drive decision-making.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Refine and enhance features through user research, usability testing, and iterative design.
  • Maintain and advance design systems and component libraries, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Champion a user-first approach that enhances inclusivity and usability as an advocate for UX/UI best practices and accessibility standards.
  • Stay at the forefront of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, continuously sharpening skills and evolving approach.

Requirements

  • Experience in product or UX/UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design thinking, interaction design, and visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrated understanding of user needs, balancing aesthetics with functionality.
  • Experience iterating quickly, making informed decisions, and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of design systems, component libraries, and responsive design principles.
  • Comfort with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design improvements.
  • Ability to thrive in an Agile, cross-functional environment, working closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Solution-oriented, open to feedback, and able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Ability to pivot when needed, ensuring design aligns with business goals and user needs.
  • Active contribution to team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and sprint planning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing confident presentation and defense of design decisions.
  • Ability to ask the right questions, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Empathy and value for diverse perspectives, creating inclusive designs.
  • Ability to articulate the value of great design and align it with business outcomes.
  • Curiosity and a desire to refine craft, staying updated on emerging design trends, new tools, and evolving user behaviours.
