About the Role
Law Debenture is an Investment Trust supported by a wholly owned professional services business. We are looking for talented mid-career individuals to enhance our trustee team, bringing new skills and diversity. This role offers support for your development as a trustee, starting with smaller to mid-sized clients and progressing to larger schemes alongside experienced colleagues. Business development is part of the role, with support to win new clients. Career progression to full trustee director is expected within three to six years.
Responsibilities
- Represent LawDeb on smaller to mid-sized pension scheme clients.
- Work alongside Trustee directors and colleagues on corporate sole trustee clients or larger, complex schemes.
- Ensure effective management and advice for appointed schemes.
- Make daily decisions that consider the interests of all beneficiaries.
- Pro-actively market services to potential clients, existing clients, and referrers to generate new business.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of professional experience.
- At least 10 years in a pension and/or investment-related role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commercial experience.
- Ability to develop new relationships and win the trust of sponsors and trustee boards.
- Hold a professional qualification (e.g., Actuarial, Legal, Investment, Accounts, Pensions (PMI)).
- Committed to a long-term career in trusteeship.
- Willingness to complete the Trustee Toolkit and the Pensions Management Institute’s Award in Pension Trusteeship.
- Self-motivated and confident working with clients autonomously, with guidance and support.
