About the Role
We are seeking a Python Developer for an internationally active client. This role focuses on maintaining and further developing Python web applications to ensure stable operation, analyzing tickets, logs, and monitoring data for error identification, and implementing solutions in the source code. The position also involves handling smaller improvements, code maintenance in Git, and ensuring code quality through testing and deployments.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and further development of Python web applications to ensure stable operation
- Analysis of tickets, logs, and monitoring data for error and cause identification
- Analysis and correction of programming errors, including implementation of solutions in the source code
- Implementation of smaller improvements and optimizations in the existing system
- Maintenance of source code in Git, including creation of pull requests and implementation of agreed-upon changes
- Adherence to code standards and creation and execution of test cases for quality assurance
- Execution of deployments in test, acceptance, and production environments, including prior quality checks
- Processing and documentation of tickets in the ticketing system from acceptance to completion
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation in code, Wiki (including diagrams), and supplementary documents
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in developing Python applications with Flask/Dash, Pandas, Numpy
- Expertise in data processing with Python, accessing various data sources (SQL databases, CSV files)
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Kubernetes (Openshift) and Helm Charts
- Proven responsibility for non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, data consistency, and operational security
- Ability to translate complex business requirements (e.g., system control, timetable or frequency data) into robust, future-proof data and application architectures
- German language skills at least C1 level
- Experience with internal stakeholders (requesters, end-users, IT infrastructure) is a plus
- Experience in the energy market and/or knowledge of electrical engineering is advantageous
