About the Role

Tencent Games is a leading global platform for game development, operations and publishing, and the largest online game community in China. We have developed and operated over 140 games, providing cross-platform interactive entertainment experiences for over 800 million users worldwide. As a Strategic Investment Manager, you will work directly with senior management, lead business development projects, evaluate investment opportunities, and drive the development of new businesses.

Responsibilities

Work directly with senior management across global and domestic games markets.
Lead projects related to business development independently.
Evaluate global gaming investment and BD opportunities.
Drive development of new opportunities and incubate new businesses.
Support decision-makings for executives and leaders of business groups.
Provide game-changing strategy and inspire out-of-the-box thinking to senior leaders.
Plan and manage business incubation, drive product innovation and new partnerships, develop and execute go-to-market plans.
Make key investment decisions.
Monitor domestic and global game market.
Identify emerging industry/technology trends.

Requirements

Around 5 years of work experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, PE/VC and related Internet industry.
Demonstrate strategic visions, business insights and in-depth knowledge of the gaming/media/entertainment industry, and other related markets (preferably a gamer!).
Ability in interpretation of data and identify emerging market trends and business opportunities.
Must be a self-starter, comfortable with uncertainty, and ability to drive to answers through disciplined work, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Effective team players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional proficiency with MS Excel & PowerPoint; working knowledge of statistics and analysis packages.
Have an entrepreneurial spirit.
