About the Role
Karbon is seeking a Mid-Level Fullstack Software Engineer to join an agile development team. In this role, you will design and build interactive web applications, taking responsibility for technical specifications, development, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product features, developing new functionality and improving existing systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Balance speed and quality by making thoughtful trade-offs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Use data to inform decisions by learning from user behavior, experimenting, and improving acquisition and conversion.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and QA throughout the development cycle.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, such as drafting code, exploring solutions, or writing tests, while applying good judgment and reviewing all shipped code.
- Take ownership of problems, explore solutions, and ask questions when needed.
- Take pride in work and feel accountable for its impact on customers and the business.
- Contribute curiosity, creativity, and personality to a low-politics, open, and collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building web applications using C#, .NET (MVC, Web API, .NET Core a plus) and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with SQL Server or relational databases, and an understanding of data flow through an application.
- A growing understanding of software fundamentals like scalable systems, APIs, and basic data structures.
- Experience building across multiple platforms including desktop and mobile applications is an advantage.
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- A sense of ownership and pride in work, balanced with a willingness to ask questions and accept feedback.
- An interest in building customer-facing software and thinking about how real people use what is built.
- Comfortable working with others, sharing ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and learning together.
