About the Role
Lead the function responsible for partner onboarding and growth, partner retention, media mix & revenue, and co-branded marketing. This is a hands-on leadership role managing strategic accounts and developing a team, sitting on the Australian Leadership Team and collaborating with Partnerships, Marketing, Product, and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Build and deepen executive-level relationships with strategic partners, influencing long-term commercial outcomes and driving retention and lifetime value.
- Lead MBRs and QBRs with key accounts, ensuring alignment on annual marketing plans and delivery against jointly agreed success metrics.
- Identify partners on affiliate programs that BLC should be working with directly and develop those relationships proactively.
- Own the retail media strategy & promotion function, identifying, pitching, and owning opportunities with brand partners.
- Drive the evolution of partner offers and commercial propositions, identifying opportunities to grow revenue and strengthen our market position.
- Work with Marketing to fill the campaign calendar with relevant partner offers and promotions aligned with partner objectives.
- Support the onboarding of new in-store and online merchant partners, managing the rollout of in-store merchandising assets and campaigns.
- Lead, coach and develop the Account Management team, setting strategy and priorities, building capability, and creating a high-performing culture.
- Monitor team and account performance, report on revenue and KPI outcomes, using insights to inform strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years in account management, partnerships, or media sales.
- At least 5 years leading high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial track record: managing retention targets, growing partner relationships, and delivering against growth opportunities.
- Experience in Retail Media, advertising, or media campaign delivery is highly regarded.
- Confident influencing and building relationships with senior stakeholders (often CMO, CCO and similar).
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
