About the Role
This is a generalist VAT advisory role with an element of compliance, offering scope for specialization. You will deliver high-quality technical advice to a diverse client base, manage client work delivery and billing, and ensure compliance with risk management processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a client portfolio as the main point of contact for indirect tax.
- Develop client portfolios to grow profitable work.
- Identify target businesses and use business development skills to generate new work.
- Collaborate with colleagues on proposals and provide technical input for tax-wide projects.
- Contribute ideas on management, projects, strategy, and focus to the indirect tax leadership team.
- Deliver high-quality technical advice to a diverse range of clients.
- Be responsible for the scoping, delivery, and billing of client work.
- Ensure compliance with the firm's risk management processes for clients.
Requirements
- Suitable for a current Manager or Associate Director with strong technical, business development, and personal skills.
- Experienced manager seeking progression.
- Strong interest in the technical side of VAT.
- Expect a high level of technical work.
- Substantial experience in VAT advisory work.
- Ideally, good knowledge of financial services, funds industry, or insurance VAT issues.
- CTA or legally qualified.
