About the Role
The Commercial Director is responsible for defining and implementing the comprehensive commercial strategy, KPIs, and roadmap for Jaeger-LeCoultre in the market. This includes sales, business development, and market expansion across internal and external boutiques, as well as multi-brand networks. The role drives high-end sales, maximizes market share and profitability, optimizes assortments, and manages teams. It oversees the commercial budget and P&L, manages sales forecasts, and contributes to long-term and yearly strategic plans in collaboration with brand leadership and support teams to achieve revenue, profitability, and brand equity goals.
Responsibilities
- Define the commercial strategy and roadmap.
- Manage performance of internal and external boutique networks by establishing clear development roadmaps to increase productivity and driven by KPIs.
- Define roadmaps to drive the performance of the Watch Specialists multi-brand network and strengthen partnerships with retailers.
- Drive the merchandising strategy by optimizing and updating assortments for the WS network, in alignment with global strategy.
- Develop high-end sales in both retail and wholesale.
- Animate the network and drive discussion on product segments.
- Provide clarity on availability and lead-time for the network.
- Maximize omnichannel performance while managing and coaching internal Ecom and CRC teams.
- Develop strong relationships with VICs.
- Provide market insights on competition and trends.
- Actively contribute to building the long-term business plan and yearly strategic plan.
- Own the P&L of the commercial department.
- Collaborate closely with HQ/APAC on strategic initiatives that contribute to brand equity development.
- Define key strategies for the Maison in retail and client-centric environments.
- Elevate retail operations by identifying business needs and guaranteeing high standards of boutique operations.
- Develop measurable and impactful KPIs and define strategy and action plans to motivate and lead retail teams.
- Benchmark and drive hospitality and client-centric initiatives to deliver memorable in-boutique experiences.
- Inspire, coach, and manage team members to create a passionate environment and strong watchmaking culture.
- Develop career paths with HR to grow commercial and retail talents.
- Nurture the retail culture and diffuse a strong retail mindset in the region.
- Foster new ideas that bring added value to the Maison by providing a cohesive and entrepreneurial environment.
